The Affiliate Movement, holds the four pillars of Community, Spirituality, Global Vision and Action as its guiding principle.
As a people of faith, we believe our central relationship is to God and we cultivate this relationship through a mission spirituality that recognizes and honors the sacredness of every person and all creation.
We believe our relationship with God challenges us to stretch our hearts in local and global mission as well as sustain us in times of difficulty.
We believe that we need to grow in our personal knowledge of Jesus and His message.
We believe that, guided by the Holy Spirit, we practice our Christian faith by sharing our knowledge and love of Jesus with others.
We believe that the Spirit who guides us on our journey moves without boundaries and that God’s unconditional love is ever-present in all cultures and peoples.
We believe that the dynamic of love and respect for each person and all cultures, and for the whole of creation, is rooted in God, revealed in Jesus Christ, and continually inspired by the Spirit and that the task, the fulfillment, and the dignity of all human endeavors are found in this same dynamic.
We believe we are called to be a faith-filled people, responding in community to God’s call to participate in the mission of Jesus who proclaimed the Domain of God by his life, death and resurrection and that by word and action we strive to proclaim the Domain of God through love, justice, inclusiveness, equality and liberation.
We believe that the poor and needy have a priority claim on our time and energy.
We believe that we must be in solidarity with the poor, oppressed and excluded persons of our world by taking actions for justice and peace, insisting that their voices be heard, and encouraging their fuller participation in the Church and society.
We believe in a world that is made richer by its cultural diversity, whether in countries around the globe or in our own communities.
We believe that a small group of committed people, by their example in the workplace and community as well as abroad in mission service, can make an impact, by their witness, on the lives of the poor and excluded.
We believe, as communities of faith, in the importance of offering mutual inspiration and support by sharing our lives, and striving to be responsive and welcoming to others and, in so doing, we honor and support the unique the unique identity of each local Chapter and respect the diversity among us.
We believe in a mission response that includes presence and witness, human promotion and liberation, liturgical life, prayer and contemplation, interreligious dialogue, proclamation and catechesis.
We believe in the promotion of a lifestyle that respects our environment and the needs of our sisters and brothers around the world .
We believe in the virtue of hospitality to strangers.
We believe that our efforts are enhanced and our lives are enriched in the Spirit by being united in community with others who are dedicated to these same beliefs.
