The Los Angeles Chapter continues to live out the Affiliate Four Pillars during the Advent/ Christmas season.
Spirituality: at the December meeting, the Affiliates were touched as each took part in the reading of Fr. Joe Veneroso's Photo Reflection on the Incarnation, "GOD KNOWS". It is in the latest issue of the Maryknoll Magazine.
Global Mission: giving prayer and financial support to efforts based on the Maryknoll charism of mission in Guatemala, Zimbawe, and other countries where we have Maryknoll connections. A generous contribution was made by the Chapter to the Maryknoll Affiliate Annual Appeal.
Community: providing mutual support and sharing with Maryknoll Sisters, Brothers, Priests and Lay Persons who do mission work. Celebrating Christmas among ourselves with food, fun and simplicity in the Maryknoll Office space, accompanied by Deacon Leonel, the new Marfyknoll Office Assistant.
Action: volunteering with the Los Angeles Cathedral Adopt-A-Family program and the Christmas Skid Row Walk with the Sierra Club.
