Maryknoll Affiliates

The materials included in the Starter Packet are:

1. Your First Meetings
   You will want to begin with this paper. The initial meetings are important for your moving forward as a potential Chapter.
2. Maryknoll Affiliate Identity Statement
   This statement was first compiled by Affiliates present at the National Meeting in Chicago in August 1993, and added to by Affiliates present at the National Conference held at Maryknoll, NY, in August 1995.
3. Maryknoll Affiliate Identity Statement
   The Maryknoll Affiliate Covenant is a symbol of the relationship of Affiliates to the Maryknoll Family. While it is not necessary to sign the Covenant to be an Affiliate, many Affiliates have done so as individuals or in a Chapter meeting during a prayerful ritual.
4. Important Roles for Maryknoll Affiliate Chapters
   Maryknoll Affiliates are called to fulfill certain rolls in their Chapter. This sheet describes those roles and responsibilities.
5. Not So Far Afield
   A sample of the main form of communication among the Maryknoll Affiliates, Not So Far Afield is published six times a year. The editors welcome contributions from all Affiliates.

   We provide a few brochures for prospective Affiliates.
7. Facilitator Information
   This paper provides some helpful suggestions for anyone who will be facilitating a meeting.
8. Sample Meeting Minutes
   To give a sense of activities of other Chapters, we provide the minutes from a recent meeting of an active Maryknoll Affiliate Chapter. You can view minutes from some other Chapters at our website, www.maryknollaffiliates.org. You must be registered to view meeting minutes.
9. Philadelphia Chapter Meeting Guidelines
   The Philadelphia Chapter developed these guidelines that many Chapters might find useful.

    We encourage you to register for the Maryknoll Affiliate website. While much of the information is accessible without registering, there is even more for those who do register. It also allows you to participate in interactive features, something that will be necessary if you continue with the formation program.
