Nuclear Disarmament - for Peace and Human needs
On Sunday, April 11, 2010, the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns, Pax Christi International and Maryknoll Affiliates co-sponsored a panel discussion on nuclear disarmament, entitled, For Peace and Human Needs—Disarm Now!
The program was planned in anticipation of the meetings at the United Nations, May 3 to 28, during which ambassadors from the U.S. and other world powers will gather to review the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Throughout the world people are organizing and raising their voices to encourage their leaders to work together on meaningful steps toward disarmament.
