Pax Christi recently sent an email announcing Colleen Kelly as the recipient of the 2011 Teacher of Peace Award. Since then, they have shared a new resource in Pax Christi USA's Peaceweavings series, incorporating an article Colleen wrote in their August-September membership newsletter.
Colleen lost her brother Bill on 9/11 and became one of the founding members of September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. The new resource is a free download and has as its centerpiece her reflection, "Ten Years After 9/11, the Last Word is LOVE." It also includes a prayer, action suggestions and ideas for further study.
WPax Christi is offering this resource for those working to promote peace and justice as our nation prepares to observe the tenth anniversary of the events of 9/11.
