Our Chapter had the opportunity to spend evenings with a Maryknoll Father and Sister, each sharing about their respective missions overseas.
In July, we enjoyed a night with Father Robert McCahill, who was visiting the States during a break from his mission in Bangladesh. Fr. Bob entertained and educated us via a beautiful slide show depicting the people of this country he has served for a major portion of his lifetime.
Then in August, we had a visit with Sister Maureen Meyer, who was visiting her brother and our Chapter affiliate, John Meyer. Sister Maureen spoke on her mission of educating young women in Tanzania, Africa. She also shared copies of the book Emusoi: Maasai girls tell their stories.
