Margo and her husband Erik joined the Maryknoll Lay Missioners (MKLM) from the Prince of Peace parish in Princeton, MA, a diocese of Worcester. Prior to Joining MKLM, Margo’s community volunteer work included her being a lector, involved with adult education and a member of the parish education committee. She led Bible study classes and was trained as a master catechist. She served on the Board of Directors of Dismas House, Inc., did nursing home ministry and volunteered with Nazareth Home for Boys. Margo was a founding board member of the Worcester County Food Bank, Inc. and did women's prison ministry.

With a BS in Animal Science from UMass, and a Masters of Business Administration from Western New England College, Margo enjoyed a successful and rewarding business career. Just prior to her joining MKLM, Margo was the Assistant Director of Fiscal Management with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Worcester, MA.

As a twenty year veteran of MKLM, Margo has worked in diverse areas of MKLM. She served in rural Tanzania, Venezuela and El Salvador in a variety of pastoral and development ministries: teaching religion and English; managing a bedded dispensary, health center and sewing school; providing outreach and hospice care to the terminally ill; accompanying abandoned and orphaned children, working with youth and women's groups, small Christian communities; providing leadership development and training; overseeing a twelve village parish and other chapels; initiating a community garden project and economic development programs; assisting with housing construction; overseeing agricultural endeavors and providing material assistance and scholarships to those in most need. With MKLM in the USA, she worked in the Mission Service Department on the Admissions' team. She recently served as a member of MKLM’s Board of Directors.

Since January 1, 2011, Margo is based in NY as Maryknoll Lay Missioners’ Director of Missions. In this role, Margo directs lay missioners and their ministries around the world. She works closely with the regional coordinators in the countries where MKLM serves. In New York, she oversees the Mission Service Department, which has the responsibility for the recruitment, selection and training of missioners, accompaniment of returned missioners and various domestic and overseas mission education programs. As a member of MKLM’s leadership team she participates in the management of the overall organization.
