Our Lord is the Supreme lemonade-maker from the least promising lemon trees. Once a year, a day is set aside to gather our courage, to join in friendship & support, to remember those we've lost, and to renew our faith in a battle with HIV and AIDS.

At St. Mary, C.A.R.E. sponsors a World AIDS Day Service each year. We gather as a community wounded to ask healing from our Lord. We toll a bell, once for each friend lost. We light candles, pray, and place tour "light" in sand, supporting each other in remembrance and in goodwill. The visiting Metropolitan Community Church Choir sang spectacularly for us, and we heard great solos from two friends. It was a delightful night that gave all who attended a sense of purpose.
