In April, the Chapter had a representative from Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement speak to us about volunteer opportunities. Five of our affiliates are currently volunteering in this way but we are not making it a chapter "project" due to the geographic diversity of our affiliates.
The Chapter sponsored Maryknoll Movie Night on May 16. At the May meeting, we discussed the Maryknoll covenant which was to be part of our retreat (see below), and the keynote address recently given by Sr. Janice McLaughlin. Fed the hungry at a Seniors soup kitchen on May 21. Welcomed a new member.
In June, we held our end of formation retreat. Fr. John Gillespie was guest speaker. Seven affiliates participated and nine guests. Two of the guest expressed interest in the Chapter. Mary and John Moritz and Marie Parmly attended the MAC.
Maryknoll Affiliates from the Chpater helped at a Maryknoll Church date the first weekend of July.
