The New Jersey affiliates hosted a pot luck social on June 10, 2012. We welcomed visitors from the Goshen and Westchester chapters as well as from the Congregation and Society. One of our intentions was to honor Fred and Jet with a brief "sending ceremony," which expressed our gratitude and good wishes to our friends.

In celebration of the Maryknoll Centennial the Affiliates co sponsored a gathering with the Justice and Peace Ministry of the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River where Beth Begley is a parishioner. Maryknoll Sister Bernice Rigney spoke on "Giving and Receiving – My experience in Mission" about her experiences in Africa working with survivors of trauma and violence and also with small Christian communities. She engaged the group in a process of reflection – have each choose a stone and share an association or memory it evoked.

The New Jersey Chapter had their annual welcome to summer potluck, with a few invited guests from Goshen, Westchester and New York City. Lenore was a gracious host, as always, and the New Jersey Chapter contributed wonderful food.
