The Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers hosted a centennial celebration at Resurrection Parish in Winter Garden, Florida on September 25 and invited many of their supporters in the Southeast United States to attend. Deacon Larry Hart hosted the celebration, assisted by Becki Hernandez. Deacon Larry works for the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers and is also part of the Northeast Florida Affiliate Chapter. Deacon Larry and Becki received additional help from five other Northeast Florida Affiliates who attended the celebration.

The afternoon fittingly began with a Eucharistic Celebration. Fr. Ray Finch, M.M. presided at the Mass, assisted by Deacon Larry. Fran Henderson and Mary Moritz, from the Affiliates, lectored at the Mass. During his homily, Fr. Ray thanked those in attendance for their prayers and financial support of Maryknoll over the years, noting that we are all called to be missioners, at least by our prayers. About 50 Maryknoll supporters were in attendance.
Mass was followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Along one wall were three tables, one for each area where Maryknoll serves, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Each table was decorated with items from that continent.
There was also an Affiliate table, where John Moritz distributed Affiliate brochures and answered questions from persons interested in what it means to be an Affiliate. Deacon Larry also projected a mission video during the reception. It was both a spiritual and enjoyable afternoon for all in attendance.
