Jungle Nursing
In 1977, wanting to make a difference in the world and add more meaning to her life, Elizabeth Desimone left her comfortable home in Seattle, Washington and ventured into the jungles of Guatemala. At the age of 35, with other sturdy Maryknoll Missioners, she brought much needed medical care to a remote area that had never had any at all.
Liz was a Maryknoll Lay Missioner.
